'Sailboat in the Prairies' available everywhere now. Raised by small town Alberta, Ryan Lindsay’s path should have been straight ahead. Instead, he felt more at home in the unfamiliar. Through much of his past work, you will recognize Lindsay’s nostalgia for a more analog life. A paradoxical appreciation for the mundane, yet a longing for the unknown. If you pay close attention, you might notice a subtle east coast rhythm or an oddly specific line that offers a lens into a stranger’s life. Prairie cowboy music on the surface, he balances his performance with the layered narratives of a folk artist and his winsome country voice. Lindsay has now put on thousands of miles as an artist – his music taking him across the landscapes of Canada and the United States on a string of listening room tours, for countless shows, from intimate back-room performances to major country music festivals. Heartfelt and road-worn, Ryan Lindsay’s catalogue tells a story. Sometimes it hits you hard, sometimes it makes you laugh, and sometimes at the end of the night, you feel like you just went somewhere.
