Phillip Carter is a Stellar Award-winning gospel recording artist, educator, and music ministry leader with over 20 years of experience in K-12 and higher education. He is the founder of Hymns With Phillip Carter, an online platform with over 300,000 followers worldwide, dedicated to preserving and promoting sacred music through modern technology. Phillip has served as a Music and Computer Technology Teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools, where he designed and taught courses in music production, DAWs (Logic Pro, GarageBand, Pro Tools), MIDI sequencing, audio recording, and digital media. He has also served as Gospel Choir Director at Georgetown University and as Director of the Children of the Gospel with the Washington Performing Arts Society. In addition to his work in education, Phillip is a prolific recording artist and producer. He is a past recipient of the Stellar Award for Fan Favorite Choir of the Year and a producer of award-winning gospel projects. Phillip is the founder of several music industry initiatives, including the Independent Gospel Artists Alliance and BuyGospel.com, and serves as organizer of the DMV Musicians & Singers Fellowship and GMWA DMV Chapter. He also led the founding of the Hymns Family Primary School in Uganda, extending his ministry and educational work internationally.
